Prerequisites
- Rust installed and updated on Steam
- EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) must be enabled (see below)
- Stable internet (< 200ms ping recommended)
What is EAC?
EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) is the official anti-cheat from Facepunch (Rust's developer). It runs alongside Rust to detect cheating software in real-time. It is required to connect — servers automatically reject clients with EAC disabled.
EAC is normally installed and enabled by default. If you get an EAC-related error:
- Steam → right-click Rust → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files
- Or reinstall EAC:
<Steam folder>/steamapps/common/Rust/EasyAntiCheat/EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
Step 1 — Pick a Server
Visit the Servers page on our website to see all 3 Mega-Rust Siam servers with live online counts:
- Main
- Sukhumvit
- Dan8
Note the server name you want to join.
Step 2 — Connect from In-game Browser
- Launch Rust → Play Game → Community
- Search:
Mega Rust - Filter region: Asia
- Pick the server matching your choice → Join Server
Step 3 — After You Connect
- Login on website with Steam at https://mega-rust.net to access wallet, topup, kits, VIP
- Link Discord from your profile for DM notifications + role assignment
- Read Server Rules before PvP
Troubleshooting
Connection refused / Server full — server may be at capacity. Try again in 5 min, or pick another server from the Servers page.
Steam auth timeout — restart Steam and Rust. Ensure EAC is enabled.
High ping (>200ms) — try one of the other Mega-Rust servers (3 available).
Can't find Mega-Rust in browser — make sure region filter is set to Asia, refresh the server list, and check spelling.
EAC error on launch — verify game files via Steam (see "What is EAC" above).
